Product quality, of course, has implications for many other specialty contractors in addition to the general and painting contractors. “The drywall work is really important because there’s a lot of problems that might not manifest until later, like when we’re hanging cabinets or installing showers,” says Tom Willson, a Project Manager with M.A. Mortenson Company. “The work has to be done right the first time. If there’s a lot of things that need to be fixed, then we’re not going to be able to keep our promises to our customers.”
“I’ve seen a consistency with the Corcoran Company from one job to the next.”
Jim Deitchler, Superintendent
The Neenan Company
Willson also cited The Corcoran Company’s attitude towards a job as integral to getting the work done. “Sometimes there’s problems with the plans and specs you’re working from. The Corcoran Company realizes that situation is inherent with some projects. They focus on getting the job done rather than looking for ways to generate change orders.”
Along with providing good service, however, comes the question of consistency: Can the company continue to provide that quality on a
regular basis? “I’ve seen a consistency with The Corcoran Company from one job to the next,” says Neenan Company Superintendent Jim Deitchler. “They have skilled foremen, they always man the projects sufficiently, they’re always good at punch list work, and they’ve always finished my projects on time. There’s no question in my mind that among drywall companies The Corcoran Company is superior.”
